1. Universal pressure transmitter

2. What are the differential pressure flow meters and how to select them? The commonly used V-cone flowmeter, multi head distributed orifice balance flowmeter, and orifice plate flowmeter are all differential pressure flow meters. The selection of pressure flow meters can be based on the following factors: measuring medium, working temperature, rated pressure, flow range, and signal output, combined with actual selection.

3. Specification for flowmeter installation in torch system

The flowmeter installation in torch system shall comply with core specifications such as GB/T 3840-2021 "Emission Standards for Pollutants in Petrochemical Industry" and SH 3009-2013 "Design Specification for Fuel Gas System and Combustible Gas Emission System in Petrochemical Enterprises", to ensure safe emissions, environmental compliance and stable operation.

. 1. Core specification requirements 1.1 Flow meter selection • Type selection: Differential pressure flow meters (orifice plate, V-cone) are preferred for torch gas flow rate nuclear land stupid measurement, suitable for large pipe diameters, wide range ratios, and complex component gases; Thermal mass flow meters can also be used for accurate measurement of low pressure and small flow rates. Material requirements: Stainless steel (such as 316SS) or Hastelloy should be used for the parts in contact with the medium, which are corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant (torch gas often contains corrosive components such as H ₂ S). Range ratio: It should cover normal discharge, emergency discharge and other working conditions. It is recommended that the range ratio be no less than 10:1. 1.2 Installation Location - It

should be installed in the vertical or horizontal straight section of the torch main pipe to avoid the influence of flow disturbance components such as elbows and valves. Requirements for straight pipe section: The length of the upstream straight pipe section should be ≥ 10D (D is the diameter of the pipeline), and the length of the downstream straight pipe section should be ≥ 5D to ensure measurement accuracy. Orientation requirement: When installing a horizontal pipeline, the flow meter should be located on the side of the pipeline to avoid the deposition of impurities. 1.3 Safety and Protection • Explosion proof Certification: Flow meters must have ATEX or IECEx explosion-proof certification, with an explosion-proof level not lower than Ex d IIB T4 (Zone 1) or Ex e II T3 (Zone 2). Fire protection design: The torch system is located in a fire hazard zone, and the flow meter should meet fire protection requirements (such as with fire-resistant coating). • Redundant configuration: It is recommended to configure flow meters redundantly for critical flare lines to improve reliability.

2. Key parameter settings 2.1 Flow range - Calculate the minimum, normal, and maximum flow rates based on the flare gas source (such as process emissions, safety valve releases). The maximum flow rate is designed according to the emergency discharge capacity of the device, and the minimum flow rate is set according to continuous micro discharge (to avoid the low end blind spot of the flow meter)

2.2 Pressure and temperature compensation - the flare gas pressure and temperature fluctuate greatly, and the flow meter needs to integrate pressure/temperature sensors or external compensation instruments, and be corrected to the standard
